Organizations with Career Resources for Scientists
- The American Association for the Advancement of Science, "Triple A-S" (AAAS), is the world's largest general scientific society and the publisher of SCIENCE. AAAS career support includes fellowships, internships, information on grants, jobs listings, a resume posting service, and more. Next Wave is their weekly online publication that covers scientific training, career development, and the science job market.
- American Chemical Society — the world’s largest scientific organization that has been promoting the chemical profession for over 125 years. ACS Careers is the ACS's comprehensive career Web site offering chemistry jobs and career development resources: data on degrees and employment in the chemical labor force; resources for more effective resume writing, interviewing, networking, and negotiating; chemical employment trends; and salary information.
- American Society of Microbiology web site offers great career pages and educational information including grade and high school specific links and literature.
- Bio.com Career Guide: Review in-depth articles written by industry leaders. Career Forum: An open forum about career development in the life sciences, intended as a medium to explore and exchange information about the diversity of career paths. Career Fairs: Network with recruiters from top-notch bio-pharmaceutical companies and find your dream job at upcoming bio.com job fairs.
- Bio-Link is a National Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Center for Biotechnology that originated in late 1998 with a grant from the National Science Foundation. The ATE program was created to improve and expand educational programs that prepare skilled technicians to work in the high-tech fields that drive the U.S. economy. The career pages list hundreds of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Links for Young People and Others Interested in Learning about Women in Science
- iWASwondering.org is a project of the National Academy of Sciences intended to showcase the accomplishments of contemporary women in science and to highlight for young people the varied and intriguing careers of some of today's most prominent scientists. The site draws from and accompanies the publication of a ten-volume series of biographies entitled Women's Adventures in Science, co-published by the Joseph Henry Press (an imprint of the National Academies Press) and Scholastic Library Publishing.
